Tumblr

Posts under this tag cover connecting an RSS feed to Tumblr for automatic posting — what's supported through Tumblr's API, how content formatting translates to Tumblr's post types, and where manual intervention is still needed. It's part of the platform-coverage series documenting exactly what automated posting looks like on networks beyond the largest few. Tumblr is a supported PostRSS destination from the Start plan. Alongside the general guide there is a sector piece on independent record labels and vinyl retailers, who were among the platform's most persistent users. The recurring practical point is that Tumblr rewards a distinct voice, so a feed that is already written for humans travels better here than a bare headline.
