Failed Posts

Failed posts are individual items from an RSS feed that didn't successfully publish to a connected social media account, usually due to a rate limit, an expired token, a broken image, or platform-side content moderation. This tag covers how to diagnose why a specific post failed, how automated retry systems handle it, and how to manually recover a failed post once the underlying cause is fixed. An expired token is the most common cause and the easiest to miss, because everything else keeps working. Reconnecting the account under Accounts fixes it without touching the feed or the Target. Rate limits are the other frequent cause, and those resolve themselves.
