Pinterest is a highly visual search engine capable of driving long-term traffic to your e-commerce store or digital publication. PostRSS streamlines your visual marketing by turning your website content or product inventory into automated Pins.
Keep your Pinterest boards active and discoverable, without touching them manually.
Pinterest automation is available starting on PostRSS's Professional plan ($10/month), alongside Facebook and VKontakte — well below the tiers required for LinkedIn (Professional Plus) and X (Ultimate).
Transform your content feed into Pins in a few steps:
Unlike faster-moving platforms, Pinterest functions like a visual search engine — a well-optimized Pin can keep driving traffic back to your site for months or even years after publishing. This is why PostRSS's standard sync speed is more than sufficient here: what actually drives long-term Pinterest traffic is image quality and Pinterest's own discovery algorithm, not how fast the Pin was posted.
Our RSS to Pinterest page covers the connection steps and the posting template in detail.
Every Pin PostRSS creates is assembled from the feed item itself, so it helps to know which part of your content ends up where. The image comes from the feed item: an enclosure, a media:content tag or the first image inside the item. If the feed carries no picture, PostRSS takes the image from the Open Graph tags of the linked page, which is why a correct og:image on your articles and product pages matters so much for Pinterest.
The text of the Pin is set by the message format you choose for the target. PostRSS offers nine formats built from the item title, the item description, the page title or your own static text, so you can use a clean title on one board and a title plus a short description on another. The link always points back to the original URL, which is what turns a Pin into a visit to your site.
Pinterest is the one network in your setup where a missing or weak image cannot be hidden. Before connecting a board, open a few recent items in your feed and check three things:
og:image tag that PostRSS can fall back to.If your site publishes a mix of topics, use keyword filters on the source. PostRSS checks the item title and description against the words you include or exclude, so a board about recipes receives only recipe posts and never the company news that shares the same feed.
Because Pins keep working long after they are published, older evergreen articles are just as valuable on Pinterest as new ones. When you create a target you can pick the date to start from and turn on catch-up: PostRSS then also posts older feed items that were never published. Combined with the order setting (newer first, older first or random) and a maximum number of posts per update, this lets you fill a fresh board gradually instead of dropping a large batch at once.
On paid plans you can also set posting windows, so Pins go out only between chosen hours or at exact times on chosen days in your time zone.
PostRSS can add your own query parameters to every link, for example utm_source=postrss together with a medium or campaign name for Pinterest. Your analytics then shows exactly how many visits and conversions came from automatic Pins, separately from the traffic of your other networks. This is the simplest way to see which boards and which kinds of content are worth expanding.
The same feed that fills your boards can also post to your Facebook Page and to other networks, each target with its own format and settings. The Professional plan includes 10 targets and 10,000 posts per month, so one feed can feed several boards and several other channels at the same time. The current limits for every plan are listed on the pricing page, and the full list of what PostRSS can do is on the features page. Pinterest is visual-first, so items without a strong featured image typically publish poorly or get skipped by the connector — it’s worth confirming every post has one set.
Yes — mapping specific feed categories or tags to individual boards keeps your profile organized rather than pinning everything to one general board.
A Pinterest business account is generally recommended for automation and analytics access, though the connection process itself works the same way.
Pinterest boards are available from the Professional plan at $10 per month, which includes 10 targets and 10,000 posts per month. Higher plans add more targets, more posts and more network types.
Yes. Pick the date to start from and turn on catch-up, and PostRSS also posts older feed items that were never published, which is a good way to fill a new board with evergreen content.
