Step 1: Create Your PostRSS Account

• WordPress: Simply add /feed/ to the end of your website URL (e.g., ://yourwebsite.com).
• Shopify: Add /blogs/news.atom to your blog page URL.
• Squarespace: Append ?format=rss to your main blog page URL.

Step 3: Add Your Feed Input to PostRSS

1. Navigate to the Feeds or Inputs section.
2. Click on Add New Feed.
3. Paste your copied RSS/Atom feed URL into the designated field.
4. Click Save / Verify. Our system will instantly analyze the feed to ensure it is valid and ready to pull updates.

Step 4: Connect Your Social Media Accounts

• Facebook: Connect your business Pages (Meta closed automatic posting to Facebook Groups in April 2024).
• X (Twitter): Link your profile to share instant updates.
• LinkedIn: Connect your personal profile or professional Company Page.
• Pinterest: Authorize your boards to start pinning images automatically.

Step 6: Check Your First Automatic Posts

When the first new item has been published, open each connected account and look at the post the way your followers will see it. Three things are worth checking: the image, the text and the link. PostRSS takes the picture from the feed item or, if the feed has none, from the Open Graph tags of the linked page. If a post appears without a picture, add a featured image to your articles or an og:image tag to your page template, and the next posts will carry it. If you also want older articles to be shared, pick the date to start from and turn on catch-up. PostRSS then also posts older feed items that were never published, in the order you choose: newer first, older first or random.

Settings Worth Adding Once Everything Works

• Message format: choose one of nine formats built from the item title, the item description, the page title or your own static text, separately for each target.
• Keyword filters: list words to include or exclude, and PostRSS posts only the items whose title or description matches.
• UTM parameters: add your own query parameters, such as utm_source=postrss, to every link so your analytics shows what each network brought.
• Hashtags: turn the categories and tags of each item into hashtags, up to a set limit, on networks where hashtags make sense.
• Check interval and volume: feeds are checked every 5 minutes by default (every minute on Enterprise plans), and you can choose a slower interval, up to once a week, and a maximum number of posts per update.

Other Ways to Add Your Content

A feed URL is the most common source, but not the only one. The official WordPress plugin builds the feed and creates the targets for you from inside wp-admin, and official modules for PrestaShop and OpenCart do the same for online stores. Shopify, Blogger, Ghost, Wix, Webflow, Joomla, Drupal, Medium and YouTube channels all publish feeds you can paste directly; the exact addresses are listed on the integrations page. If you have content without a feed, the Professional plan and above can upload a CSV file, where each row becomes one post.

Choosing the Right Plan

The Free plan posts to one target (a Facebook Page, Telegram channel, Bluesky or Mastodon account) with up to 10 posts per month, which is enough to see the whole process working. Start adds more posts and 36 network types for the same single target, Professional opens 66 network types and 10 targets, and X is included from Professional Plus; Telegram channels, Bluesky and Mastodon work even on Free. Do I need any coding skills to set up PostRSS?

No. You paste a feed address, connect an account and choose a few settings. Developers can additionally use the PostRSS REST API and webhooks, but that is optional.

How quickly does a new article appear on my social accounts?

PostRSS checks each feed as often as every minute. A new article usually appears within minutes, unless you have set posting windows that delay it.

Why does my post appear without an image?

PostRSS takes the image from the feed item or from the Open Graph tags of the linked page. If neither contains a picture, the post has nothing to show. Add a featured image or an og:image tag and the following posts will include it.

Can PostRSS share articles I published before signing up?

Yes. Pick the date to start from and turn on catch-up, and PostRSS also posts older feed items that were never published.

Can I start for free?
