Keeping your X feed active requires consistent posting and constant manual formatting. With PostRSS, you can fully automate your X marketing. Automatically share updates from your website, blog, or e-commerce platform directly to your X account the moment new content is published.
Deliver bite-sized, real-time updates to your followers and boost your organic visibility effortlessly.
X automation is available starting on PostRSS's Ultimate plan ($40/month) and above — it is not included on the Free, Start, Professional, or Professional Plus tiers. If you're currently on a lower-tier plan and want to add X to your automation mix, you'll need to upgrade to Ultimate or an Enterprise tier.
Set up your automated X pipeline in four steps:
X moves faster than most other networks — content has a short window of peak relevance, and timing matters more here than almost anywhere else. PostRSS monitors your RSS feed continuously in the cloud, pushing structured post text and links to X the moment your new content goes live, rather than relying on you to notice and share it manually.
On X the first line is almost the whole post, so it is worth deciding what that line should be. PostRSS builds every post from parts of the feed item you choose: the item title, the item description, the page title or your own static text. There are nine message formats in total. For most sites the item title followed by the link works best on X, because it is short, clear and leaves room for the link preview.
A short static prefix such as “New:” or “On the blog:” is useful if your account mixes automated and hand-written posts. It tells followers at a glance that the post links to fresh content, without you having to write anything for each article.
The image travels with the post too. PostRSS takes the picture from the feed item itself or from the Open Graph tags of the linked page, so the post carries your real featured image instead of a grey placeholder. If a post ever shows the wrong picture, the fix is almost always on your site: check the featured image and the Open Graph image of the article.
Because X rewards timeliness, the default behaviour of posting each new item within minutes of publication suits most accounts. There are still cases where you want more control:
For timing ideas, see our guide to the best times to post on Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
PostRSS can add your own query parameters, such as utm_source=postrss, to every link it posts. Use a separate value for X and your analytics will show exactly how many visits, sign-ups and sales came from your X account, and which articles earned them. That tells you whether short news items or longer guides work better with your followers, and helps you decide what to publish next.
Plan details for X, along with the posting limits and number of targets on each plan, are listed on the PostRSS pricing page. PostRSS has been running since 2014, and the same account can post one feed to X and to other networks at the same time.
No — PostRSS automatically shortens titles and links so they fit cleanly within X’s character limit, without cutting off mid-word.
