It helps to know what the autopilot actually does after you click Publish. PostRSS checks each feed on a fixed schedule: every 5 minutes on all plans, including Free, and every minute on Enterprise plans. You can also choose a slower interval for a source, up to once a week, if a feed changes rarely.
When a new item appears, PostRSS builds the post from it. The text comes from one of nine message formats made from the item title, the item description, the page title or your own static text. The picture comes from the feed item or, if the feed has none, from the Open Graph image of the linked page. The link points back to your article, and PostRSS can add your own query parameters to it, such as utm_source=postrss, so your analytics shows exactly what each network brought.
Automation does not have to mean posting everything everywhere. Each source and target has settings that keep the output under control:
Most websites already have a feed. WordPress, Blogger, Ghost, Wix, Squarespace, Shopify, Joomla, Drupal and many other platforms publish one automatically, and YouTube channels have a feed for new videos. If you do not have a feed, the Professional plan and above can use a CSV file instead, where one row becomes one post. Official plugins for WordPress, PrestaShop and OpenCart build the feed and create the targets for you, so you never have to copy a feed address. See the integrations page for the exact feed address on each platform.
The Free plan posts to one Facebook Page, which is enough to see the whole process working. Paid plans add more posts, more targets and more networks: Professional covers 48 network types with 10 targets, and Ultimate adds X, Telegram channels, Bluesky, Mastodon and Threads. PostRSS has been running since 2014, and every plan posts automatically; the difference is how much and how often. Compare the current limits on the pricing page or see everything the service can do on the features page.
PostRSS checks your feed every 5 minutes on all plans and every minute on Enterprise plans, so a new article is usually posted within minutes of going live on your site.
