RSS Channel Elements
RSS channel elements are the parts of a feed that describe the feed as a whole rather than any single article. In RSS 2.0 the channel must contain a title, a link and a description, and it can also carry a language code, a logo image, build dates and caching hints. Atom feeds express the same ideas with elements such as subtitle, updated, id, icon and logo. Articles under this tag explain what each element means and how readers, directories and automation tools use it.
