RSS Channel Elements

RSS channel elements are the parts of a feed that describe the feed as a whole rather than any single article. In RSS 2.0 the channel must contain a title, a link and a description, and it can also carry a language code, a logo image, build dates and caching hints. Atom feeds express the same ideas with elements such as subtitle, updated, id, icon and logo.
