Facebook Group Autoposter
This tag covers auto-posting RSS feed content into Facebook Groups specifically, which Meta treats differently from Pages in terms of required permissions. In PostRSS, a Facebook destination is set up as a "Target" — each connected Page or Group counts toward your plan's target limit, and every post it publishes counts against your monthly "Tasks" allowance. PostRSS checks your source feed every 5 minutes on every plan, including Free, so a new Facebook post typically appears within minutes of the original content going live. Posting to a Facebook Group specifically requires that the PostRSS app be added to the Group with admin-level posting rights, which Meta enforces separately from Page permissions. Posting into a Group requires adding the PostRSS app to that Group with admin-level rights, a step that isn't necessary for Page posting. Articles here also cover how Meta's 2024 Facebook Groups API changes affected what third-party tools, including PostRSS, are able to do inside Groups.
