Content Atomization

Content atomization is the practice of breaking one substantial piece of content — a long article, a report, a video — into several smaller, platform-appropriate pieces rather than posting the same thing everywhere unchanged. Posts here cover how that idea intersects with RSS-driven automation: which parts of atomization can happen automatically from a single feed item, and which parts still benefit from deliberate, manual editing per platform. The tag is closely related to content repurposing but focuses specifically on the splitting-apart side of that process rather than reformatting a whole piece for a different medium. The honest boundary is that an automated feed splits nothing on its own — it sends one item to each destination, formatted for that destination. Atomisation is editorial work you do at the source, and automation then carries the results.
