Cómo configurar PostRSS: Guía paso a paso

Welcome to PostRSS. Setting up your automated cross-posting pipeline takes less than two minutes. Follow this comprehensive, step-by-step documentation to connect your website’s RSS feed and start syndicating your content across global social networks automatically.

Step 1: Locate Your Website’s RSS Feed URL

Before configuring PostRSS, you need your source feed URL. Most Content Management Systems (CMS) generate this automatically, usually at a predictable address:

  • WordPress — añadir /feed/ to your homepage URL (e.g. yoursite.com/feed/). This works out of the box on every WordPress install without a plugin.
  • Shopify — your blog feed is at yoursite.com/blogs/news.atom (replace news with your blog’s handle if it’s named differently).
  • Wix — found under Blog settings, or directly at yoursite.com/blog-feed.xml.
  • Squarespace — añadir ?format=rss to your blog page URL.
  • Ghost — available by default at yoursite.com/rss/.
  • Blogger — at yoursite.blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default.
  • Joomla — enable feeds under Global Configuration, then look for the RSS icon in your site’s footer or sidebar.

If your platform isn’t listed here or doesn’t publish a feed by default, a feed-generator tool can create one from any webpage — see our guide to RSS feed generators for options.

Step 2: Connect Your Social Media Accounts

Log into your PostRSS Dashboard, navigate to the “Social Accounts” tab, and click “Connect” next to your targeted platform (Facebook, LinkedIn, X, Pinterest, or Vkontakte). Follow the secure prompt screens to authorize safe deployment tokens — this is the standard OAuth login flow for each platform, so you’re logging into Facebook/X/LinkedIn directly, not sharing your password with PostRSS. You can connect multiple platforms and multiple accounts per platform; each becomes an available posting target for the next step.

Step 3: Create Your First Automation Route

Go back to the main dashboard interface and select “Create New Route”. Fill out the operational parameters carefully:

  • Paste your valid source feed link inside the “Source Feed URL” input field.
  • Select the connected social media channels you want to broadcast this feed out to.
  • Customize the publishing layout using static prefixes, dynamic title variables, or structural hashtag patterns.

A “static prefix” is fixed text that appears before every post (e.g. “New post:”), while “dynamic title variables” let you pull in the article’s actual title, category, or author automatically so each post is unique rather than templated.

Step 4: Activate and Test

Toggle the status button to “Active”. PostRSS will now poll your website feed securely in the background. The moment you publish a new article on your site, our system will automatically parse the data, pull your physical open-graph images, and push the content live onto your social channels instantly. To confirm everything is wired up correctly before relying on it, publish a small test post on your site and check that it appears on your connected channels within your plan’s polling interval.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does PostRSS take to detect a new post after I publish it?

That depends on your plan’s polling interval — lower tiers check less frequently, while higher tiers (including Enterprise plans) poll as often as every minute. Check your plan’s specific interval on the pricing page.

Do I need to install anything on my website?

No. PostRSS reads your existing public RSS feed remotely — there’s nothing to install on your server or CMS, as long as your site already publishes a valid feed.

Can I connect more than one RSS feed?

Yes, depending on your plan’s target limit. Each feed-to-platform connection counts as a separate route, so you can run multiple feeds (e.g. a blog and a podcast) into different social accounts simultaneously.

What happens if my RSS feed goes offline temporarily?

PostRSS simply finds nothing new on its next poll and tries again on the following cycle — no posts are lost or duplicated once your feed comes back online, since only genuinely new items get published.
