How to Auto-Post Your Website RSS Feed to LinkedIn Profiles and Company Pages

The Strategic Value of Automating LinkedIn Updates

• Establish Instant Authority: The exact millisecond your case study, industry analysis, or company announcement drops on your blog, PostRSS broadcasts it to your professional network.
• Dual Profile and Page Management: Keeping both your personal profile and your corporate brand page active simultaneously is challenging. PostRSS allows you to route a single RSS ফিড to multiple LinkedIn targets at once, doubling your brand exposure with zero added effort.
• Flawless Professional Formatting: First impressions matter in business. PostRSS extracts clean metadata and high-resolution featured graphics from your feed, ensuring your automated updates always look sharp, native, and completely error-free.

Personal Profile or Company Page: Which Target Should You Use?

PostRSS treats a personal LinkedIn profile and a LinkedIn Company Page as separate targets, each with its own authorisation and its own settings. That makes it easy to decide per destination what should be published:

• Personal profile: best for consultants, founders and specialists whose own name carries the content. Your connections see the article as something you chose to share.
• Company Page: best for company news, product updates and case studies. To connect a Page you need admin rights on it, and followers of the Page see the post in their feed.
• Both at once: route one feed to both targets when every article is relevant to both audiences, or use different feeds, for example a company news category for the Page and an insights category for your profile.

If you are unsure which to start with, our guide to auto-posting to a LinkedIn Company Page explains the admin permissions, and the personal profile guide covers the individual setup.

What Each Automated LinkedIn Post Contains

Every new feed item becomes one post. PostRSS builds the text from the parts of the item you choose: the item title, the item description, the page title or your own static text, nine message formats in total. For LinkedIn, the title plus a short line from the description often works best, because it gives readers a reason to click before they see the link.

The image is taken from the feed item or from the Open Graph tags of the linked page, so the post shows your real featured image. PostRSS can also add your own query parameters, such as utm_source=postrss, to every link, so your analytics shows how many visits and leads came from LinkedIn and which articles brought them.

Keeping a Professional Posting Rhythm

A LinkedIn audience expects quality over quantity. A few PostRSS settings help you keep the feed useful rather than noisy:

1. Limit posts per update. Set the maximum number of items published in one check, so a batch of new articles is spread out instead of appearing all at once.
2. Use posting windows. On paid plans you can post only between chosen hours, or at exact times on chosen days in your time zone, so updates land during the working day.
3. Filter by keyword or category. Include or exclude items by words in their title and description, or connect a category feed, so only professional content reaches LinkedIn.
4. Stay present in the comments. Automation delivers the post; replying to comments yourself is what turns views into conversations and leads.

FAQ

Can I post the same feed to my profile and my Company Page?

Yes. Each is a separate target with its own authorisation, so one feed can go to both, or you can use different feeds for each.

Do I need admin rights to auto-post to a LinkedIn Company Page?

Yes. You need admin rights on the Page to connect it. A personal profile only needs you to log in as yourself through LinkedIn’s own authorisation screen.

How quickly will a new article appear on LinkedIn?

PostRSS checks your feed every 5 minutes, or every minute on Enterprise plans, so a new article usually appears on LinkedIn within minutes of being published.

Is my LinkedIn password shared with PostRSS?

No. The connection uses LinkedIn’s own OAuth authorisation, so your password is never shared with PostRSS or stored by it.
